Liz Pritchard (’80 Comm.) is a media industry veteran who most recently served as the Vice President, Sales Training and Development, for Fox Television Stations Sales in New York, a division of the Fox Corporation. She retired in 2021 after a 40-year career in media sales.
At Fox, Pritchard was responsible for design and management of the sales training program, which produced top performing account executives, sales managers, and Vice Presidents within the division. Pritchard also served as project management lead for sales, traffic, and automation systems utilized by the station group and was part of an executive management transition team deployed to assist when new stations were acquired by Fox.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Pritchard started her sales career at KCPQ Television in Seattle. She spent 14 years in the Chicago market, in AE and sales management roles with ABC/Disney and CBS Television. In a mid-career break, Pritchard moved with her family to London, England. While abroad, she studied art history at Christie’s, became licensed on the Eurex Bond Trading Exchange, and represented an American firm, The Little Gym, International, in their first European expansion. Upon returning to the US, Pritchard joined the Radio Disney Network as Director, Central and Southeastern Sales, and moved to Fox/NY in 2002 to start up the sales training initiative.
Pritchard remains active as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the WSU Foundation, and also serves on the Murrow College Professional Advisory Board at Washington State. She previously volunteered as a parent member of the Bucknell University Professional Network, where her son, Tim, graduated from in 2016.
In 2021, Pritchard retired to the shores of Northern Lake Michigan with her husband, Dan.
